Managing Partner
Chakapong is managing partner and founder of Office Counselors Ltd. under Na Bangxang Law Group to engage the international clients. He is also the member of Trademark Board at Department of Intellectual Property as of 1999 until present and member of Foreign Business License Committee at Department of Business Development as of 2013 until present. Chakapong is past member of Investigation and Evaluation Committee of Ministry of Commerce in Thailand.
Prior to establishing Office Counselors, Chakapong is legal advisor of three top financial and securities institutions in Bangkok, Thailand. Earlier in his career, he practiced for 8 years with TISCO finance and securities as in-house senior lawyer. He also has served on various other professional committees in the areas of intellectual property and information technology law.
Chakapong advises a wide range of clients in diverse and complex transactions involving corporate and intellectual property matters, including licensing and collaboration agreements, mergers and acquisitions, supply and distribution agreements, sponsorship and co-promotion arrangements, IP considerations in whole-business securitizations, and other strategic commercial agreements. He also advises consumer branded product companies in relation to global brand strategy, trademark clearance and prosecution, advertising clearance, and resolution of intellectual property disputes. Chakapong is sought out by private equity investors focused on consumer branded product companies to assist with the acquisition, licensing, and spin-out of global brands.
Philip L. Goduti
Senior Partner
Philip is a senior partner in our Real Property and Planning Group. His practice focuses on commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, financing, project development and commercial leasing. Philip also has substantial experience in a wide variety of commercial actions including plans of arrangement; share and/or asset purchase conflicts; technology and intellectual property matters; non-competition and confidentiality enforcement; development and construction issues; real estate transactions; and commercial landlord and tenant claims.
His other areas of expertise include electronic commerce and information technology transactions, technology acquisition, development and exploitation ventures, electronics manufacturing and supply logistics agreements, and technology outsourcing arrangements. He graduated from Suffolk University School of Law Boston, Massachusetts.
Craig Arthur Mcleod
Senior Partner
Craig is a senior partner in our Intellectual Property Group and has joined Office Counselors in 2002. His interdisciplinary practice encompasses the areas of intellectual property and product regulation.
Craig focuses on the global acquisition, exploitation, enforcement, and defense of patent and other intellectual property rights. He provides clients with strategic, common-sense advice concerning all phases of patent procurement and protection, from conception to commercialization. He has considerable experience conducting large-scale patentability, infringement, validity, and freedom-to-operate analyses and preparing IP and regulatory landscapes. He also provides IP support on patent litigation matters and IP and regulatory assistance on corporate and commercial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions. He has particular expertise advising pharma clients at the complex interface of drug regulation, and patent prosecution.
In his regulatory practice, Craig advises importers, retailers, manufacturers, and other clients on the regulation of a broad range of products. As a scientist, Craig offers a one-stop shop for innovative clients who wish to patent new products and bring them to market. He has considerable experience obtaining patent protection for, and advising on regulatory matters relating to, food and drugs, natural health products, cosmetics, medical devices, electrical equipment, and veterinary products.
Paitoon Parnsorn
Partner
Paitoon is a partner in Corporate and Finance Practice Group. His practice focuses on all aspects of complex corporate/commercial litigation, including leveraged financings with a specific focus in recent years on acquisition financings, and investment fund financings (including subscription lines of credit). He also represents clients in debt capital markets transactions and has experience in debt restructurings. With over 40 years of experience, Paitoon’s clients include public and private companies in a variety of industries, private equity funds and commercial lenders. He joined Office Counselors in 2007.
In addition to a variety of commercial disputes, clients turn to Paitoon for his experience and knowledge on cases involving allegations of breach of fiduciary and other employment duties and misuse of confidential information claims. He also focuses on infrastructure litigation, including bid/tender, fairness and procurement processes. Clients in the infrastructure and construction industries will benefit from his ability to provide real time strategic litigation risk management advice on a variety of procurement law.
Werasakdi Piboonwattanawong
Partner
Werasakdi is a partner in the firm’s Litigation Group as well as a member of our International Arbitration Group. Werasakdi focuses his practice on high stakes intellectual property and corporate litigation and advises clients concerning intellectual property strategies, including acquisitions, enforcement, due diligence, and licensing. Werasakdi has litigated numerous post-grant proceedings, including inter partes and covered business method reviews and ex parte reexaminations, both on behalf of petitioners and patent owners. He joined Office Counselors in 1998. Prior to joining the firm, Werasakdi served as senior legal officer at the Department of Revenue in Thailand.
Werasakdi has both a trial and appellate practice. He has appeared before all levels of Court, including the Supreme Court of Thailand, and has been counsel in private arbitrations involving issues of professional negligence and commercial disputes.
Kriddipat Na Bangxang
Partner
Kriddipat is a partner in our Intellectual Property and Technology Group. He graduated from the Boston College School of Law and is a registered patent attorney.
Kriddipat is involved in all aspects of the clearance, acquisition, enforcement and exploitation of patents, trademarks, copyright, designs and other forms of intellectual property, with special emphasis on high technology. He has particular experience in the patenting of inventions in the fields of networked communications, business and financial services processes, software and other forms of computer technology.
Kriddipat’s specific experience in intellectual property matters includes advising in respect of the development, preparation, filing, prosecution and management of originating patent and trademark portfolios having worldwide scope, comprising ongoing enforcement activity and the defense of third-party assertions, related infringement and validity legal opinion work, licensing and standards activity, intellectual property transactional support and general intellectual property counselling.
Prior to joining the firm, he worked as associate at the leading law firm in Boston, Massachusetts and thereafter back to Thailand to be a legal officer at the Department of Intellectual Property (DIP), Ministry of Commerce. After the several years of IP practice in government sector, he subsequently was joined IP firms in Thailand from 2014-2022. He has joined Office Counselors in May 2022.
